I’m delighted to introduce Ms Goh Puay Cheh, CFA, who joins CFA Society Singapore this month as Chief Executive Officer.
Puay Cheh brings with her a wealth of experience and expertise in the financial sector. In a distinguished career spanning over 40 years, she has built as extensive portfolio of professional competencies ranging from corporate management, corporate finance (IPOs, bonds issuance, mergers, and acquisitions), risk consulting, and internal auditing, to lecturing and training. In each of these spheres, she has demonstrated exceptional leadership and a deep commitment to advancing the standards of professionalism in the industry.
Puay Cheh’s diverse professional background includes successful stints at major professional bodies. She has served as Chief Operating Officer at the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants (ISCA), the national accountancy body. She was part of the management that oversaw ISCA’s transformation to be a leading global accountancy body. This was followed by another exemplary term as the Executive Director of the Institute of Internal Auditors Singapore (IIAS). Her experiences have provided her with deep insights into strategic development and community engagement at not-for-profit organisations.
Puay Cheh holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of New South Wales and a Bachelor of Accountancy from the National University of Singapore. She has been a CFA charterholder since 1993 and earned her CA (Singapore) in 1990.
We are confident that under Puay Cheh’s stewardship, CFA Society Singapore will continue to strengthen our role as a pivotal institution for financial professionals in Singapore, and spearhead initiatives that foster professional development, promote ethical standards, and enhance the value of the CFA charter.
We invite you to connect with Puay Cheh through our member events, programmes, and networking sessions. Join us as we work together to advance the finance and investment profession in Singapore and beyond.
