Who is this for?

Investment professionals directly involved in or supporting the investment decision-making process. Regular membership is a prerequisite to earning the CFA charter and CIPM certificate.

Investment professionals who do not meet the eligibility requirements of regular memberships or do not intend to participate in the CFA Program or CIPM Program.

Singapore based candidates of the CFA examinations who do not qualify for Regular or Affiliate membership.

How do I become eligible?

A bachelor’s degree or equivalent education/work experience and a passing score for the Level I CFA Exam, CIPM Program Level II Exam, RBA Netherlands Exam, or the self-administered Standards of Practice Exam.

You must meet the eligibility requirements for your selected member society and become a member of that society.

Current candidacy or working towards CFA Charter, download and complete the application form​​ and pay dues, and approval from Society’s Board or Membership committee.

We have three membership categories, tailored to suit your experience and professional needs — Regular, Affiliate, Associate.

REGULAR MEMBERSHIP

Regular membership is suitable for individuals who have at least four years of relevant work experience and have achieved CFA Level 1 (or passed the self-administered Standards of Practice examination). You can apply via the CFA Institute to become a regular member of both CFA Singapore and CFA Institute.

AFFILIATE MEMBERSHIP

Affiliate membership is suitable for individuals who have a minimum of one year relevant work experience. You can apply via CFA Institute to become an Affiliate member of both CFA Society Singapore and CFA Institute.

ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP

Associate (Candidate) Membership is currently available to Singapore based candidates of the CFA examinations who do not qualify for Regular or Affiliate membership.  Benefit from access to Executive Programmes and events at member rates.  Network with charterholders and stay connected at networking events.
